6th Annual Gala and Awards Night

Saturday, April 29, 2017

6:00 pm Cocktail Hour

Doubletree Greenway Plaza

6 E Greenway Plaza
Houston, TX 77046

The 6th Annual Gala will celebrate the accomplishments of notable Nigerians in the Diaspora and highlight NAMC’s achievements in the past year.  This year’s theme, Building Unity, advances the idea that in order for us to be great, we must build unity here in Houston in our various communities.  Unity is necessary in order to figuratively and literally build the future for the Houston Nigerian and African community–the planned Nigerian cultural and community center.

Special performances will display the global influence of the Nigerian Diaspora.  The Gala is an elegant evening that starts with a cocktail hour during which guests can network with local dignitaries and other honored guests. Afterwards, guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner and drinks of their choice.  Notable individuals will be honored with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Distinguished Professional Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Image Award.
